Pricing

We believe in fair, transparent pricing for quality dental care. Our fees reflect the time, skill, and materials involved—without hidden extras or pressure tactics. Whether you’re insured or not, you’ll get honest advice and a clear breakdown of costs before treatment begins.

Our pricing

At Riseley Street Dental, our fees are reviewed annually to stay closely aligned with industry averages and remain competitive within the local area. While we’re not here to compete on price alone, we also believe high-quality dentistry shouldn’t come at an unreasonable cost.

Our pricing reflects the time, materials, technology, and attention to detail that go into everytreatment. We take pride in doing things properly—from preventative care to complex restorative work—and that means investing in the right tools, training, and techniques to achieve long-lasting results.

We’re committed to providing exceptional care that’s both clinically sound and financially fair. If you’d like an estimate before starting treatment, we’re always happy to explain your options, item numbers, and expected rebates—clearly and without pressure.

Riseley Street Dental is proudly partnered with HBF, Medibank Private, and HCF—three of Australia’s largest health funds. If you’re with one of these insurers, you’ll enjoy subsidised pricing and, in most cases, higher rebates on common dental treatments like check-ups, cleans, X-rays, and fillings.

As a preferred provider, we’ve agreed to set fees for certain services, helping you get more back from your fund and reducing your out-of-pocket costs. These partnerships allow us to deliver high-quality care at fair, transparent prices—without compromising on materials, time, or technique.

Not with one of our partner funds? No problem. We process all health funds on the spot via HICAPS, so you can still claim your rebate instantly.

We understand that dental treatment can sometimes feel financially overwhelming—especially when more than one issue needs attention. That’s why we’re always happy to work with you to make treatment more manageable. This might mean breaking treatment into stages over time, choosing lower-cost but clinically sound alternatives, or using interest-free payment plans through providers like Afterpay, Zip, or Fund My Dental. Our team will give you honest, practical advice on what’s essential, what can wait, and how to fit it all into your budget—without pressure or judgement.

General and major dental

If you’ve ever looked at your health fund statement and wondered why one treatment had a higher rebate than another, you’re not alone. Most health insurers divide dental services into two main categories: General Dental and Major Dental. Knowing the difference can help you make the most of your extras cover—and avoid unexpected out-of-pocket costs.

General dental covers the basics of everyday preventive and restorative care. These services help maintain your oral health and catch problems early. Common general dental treatments include:

• Dental check-ups
• Scale and cleans
• X-rays
• Fluoride treatments
• Fissure sealants
• Fillings (composite or amalgam)
• Extractions (simple)

Most health funds offer higher rebates and shorter waiting periods for general dental, as these are considered essential for maintaining good oral hygiene.

Major dental typically refers to more complex or costly procedures that restore or replace teeth. These treatments may involve multiple appointments or laboratory work. Examples of major dental include:

• Crowns and bridges
• Dental implants
• Root canal therapy
• Surgical extractions (e.g. impacted wisdom teeth)
• Dentures
• Veneers (in some cases)
• Occlusal splints (night guards)

Rebates for major dental are usually lower and may be subject to longer waiting periods. Some policies have separate annual limits for general and major dental—so it’s worth checking your cover carefully.

We’re always happy to help. Before starting treatment, we can give you the item numbers so you can check with your health fund what’s covered and how much you’ll get back. We can also swipe your card in advance to give you an on-the-spot quote using our HICAPS system.

Dental rebates can be confusing—but they don’t have to be. Our front desk team can explain what’s likely to be covered, help you estimate your rebate, and answer any questions about waiting periods or limits.

Whether you’re with HBF, Medibank, HCF, or another fund, we’re here to make the financial side of dentistry as simple and stress-free as possible.

Free kids dental

Riseley Street Dental is proud to support the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS)—a government program that provides eligible families with up to $1,132 in dental benefits over two calendar years for every child aged 0 to 17.

If your child is eligible, we bulk bill directly through Medicare, meaning no gap, no out-of-pocket costs, and no surprises.

CDBS covers a wide range of essential general dental services, including:

• Dental check-ups
• Cleans
• X-rays
• Fillings
• Fissure sealants
• Extractions
• Preventative and restorative care

We’ll always let you know whether a service is covered before treatment starts—and help you make the most of your child’s available benefits.

Your child may be eligible if they:

• Are aged between 0 and 17 years
• Are eligible for Medicare
• Receive (or are part of a family receiving) a government payment such as Family Tax Benefit Part A

If you’re unsure, just contact us and we can help you check eligibility in a few quick steps.

We proudly provide CDBS bulk billed dental care to families across Booragoon, Ardross, Brentwood, Applecross, Mount Pleasant, and beyond. Whether it’s your child’s first visit or you’re looking for a clinic that makes quality care affordable, we’re here to help.
