Ceramic Crowns
When a tooth is too damaged or weakened for a filling, a crown is often the best solution. At Riseley Street Dental, we offer high-quality ceramic crowns that restore strength, function, and aesthetics—all with a focus on precision and long-term success.

Strong, Natural-Looking Protection for Damaged Teeth
When a tooth is too damaged or weakened for a filling, a crown is often the best solution. At Riseley Street Dental, we offer high-quality ceramic crowns that restore strength, function, and aesthetics—all with a focus on precision and long-term success.
We use two different approaches depending on the location of the tooth and your specific needs:
Lab-Made Ceramic Crowns for Front Teeth (Anterior)
For teeth in the smile zone, detail matters. We work closely with trusted local dental technicians to create custom, lab-made ceramic crowns that blend seamlessly with your natural teeth in both colour and shape.
Each crown is carefully shade-matched, contoured, and layered to create a result that looks lifelike—not bulky or artificial. The process usually takes two visits, and we’ll provide a high-quality temporary crown in between to protect the tooth.
Lab-made crowns are ideal for:
- Teeth with cosmetic importance
- Replacing old or unaesthetic restorations
- Matching adjacent veneers or existing crowns
- Patients with high aesthetic expectations
CEREC® Same-Day Crowns for Back Teeth (Posterior)

For molars and premolars, we offer CEREC® same-day crowns—strong ceramic restorations designed, milled, and fitted in a single appointment. No messy impressions, no temporary crowns, no waiting.
Using our 3Shape TRIOS® scanner and CEREC® CAD/CAM system, we design your crown digitally, then mill it from a solid block of ceramic right here in the clinic. This approach gives excellent strength and fit for teeth under high bite pressure, without compromising on precision.
Same-day ceramic crowns are ideal for:
- Cracked or heavily restored molars
- Replacing large fillings
- Protecting root canal-treated teeth
- Patients wanting fewer visits and faster results
FAQs: Ceramic Crowns at Riseley Street Dental
How long do ceramic crowns last?
With good care, ceramic crowns typically last 10–15 years or more. We aim for precision and durability to give each crown the best possible lifespan.
Will it match my natural teeth?
Yes. For anterior crowns, we work closely with skilled technicians to ensure a natural, seamless appearance. We take shade photos and provide detailed lab instructions for the best aesthetic result.
Are same-day crowns as strong as lab-made ones?
Absolutely. CEREC crowns are milled from high-strength ceramic blocks and are ideal for back teeth. For front teeth where aesthetics are more demanding, lab-made crowns offer more customisation. Aside from the aesthetics, both options provide equally excellent strength and seal.
Is the procedure painful?
No. We numb the area completely and ensure you’re comfortable throughout. Most patients are surprised by how smooth and easy the process feels.
What if I grind my teeth?
We’ll assess your bite carefully and may recommend a night guard to protect your crowns from excessive wear over time.
